"Housework"

Isn't my Little House cute? I just got back from a relaxing retreat with my friends at http://ColumbusScrappers.org. I decided that I was only going to do digital scrapbooking over the weekend so I didn't get the chance to do anything with my retreat kit until yesterday. That's when I decided it would be the perfect thing to use on this little house box from Maya Road. (I got it at my favorite Scrapbook Store: http://www.cordcamera.com/Scrapbooking-C227.aspx ). The house has a cute little mini album inside. I still need to add photos to mine and I'll post it when I do. I'm particularly proud of the little Barn Star on the top of the front. The house looked bare without something above the door, and my friend Wendie suggested I try to find a tiny barn star. While I loved the idea, I got a little irritated trying to find one that small. Then it hit me that maybe I could make my own with paper. I went to this tutorial: http://http://www.dltk-kids.com/usa/fold_and_cut_star_shape.htm , and made my own! I'm pretty proud of it, and it was so easy to do. The other products used for this were: BoBunny Beau Jardin paper from the Back to Basics line, Basic Grey Brad (front door knob), and of course, my trusty Cricut and Doodletype Cartridge (house numbers on the back).

On a side note, I'm trying to follow along with Ali Edwards as she does one of her A Week in the Life projects. Seriously this is about as hard as dieting! I keep falling off the wagon and forgetting to take pictures, so I'm going to have to do a little bit of re-creating. Wish me luck!
