Mom's Album Class to benefit Hilliard Relay for Life

Will you please join me in supporting a great cause?
When my friend Carrie asked me if there was something I could do to help out the Hilliard Relay for Life this year, I knew I couldn't turn her down. Most of you know that I'm a 2x breast cancer survivor myself, but you may not know that in my case it's genetic. Sadly, that means that my 4 children (ALL 4 of them, not just my daughter) have a 50% chance of having the same gene mutation that I do.

I don't mean to sound all doom and gloom because I do believe there's hope! We need to continue to fund programs such as Relay for Life. Relay for Life is a program of the American Cancer Society (all types of cancer, not just breast cancer). It's a community based program that is "dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing cancer through research, education, advocacy and service".

I'll be offering a very special class to benefit this year's Relay. The project will be one of my pocket albums, using Stampin' Up!'s Sunshine Garden Simply Scrappin' Kit. (You can see other examples of my pocket albums in previous posts. The most recent one was a Disney theme). This beautiful kit has lots of flowers, in So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze and Old Olive. First we'll create our album using chipboard, Bind-it-all and Scor-Pal. Then we'll add buttons, ribbons and metal accents to dress it up! Add up to 12 wallet-sized pictures to it for a wonderful Mother's Day centerpiece, or make it for a special friend. All proceeds after supply cost will be donated!
