Swaps I Received / Day Two's Question

These are just a few of the beautiful swaps I received from the Regionals in Cincinnati last week. Please ignore the flower petals peeking out at the top, I had to lean the cards against something to get my pictures and it shows behind the short cards.

Some details on the cards:
Card #1- This card was made by my stamping buddy, Dawn Kuhn. I love the color combination: Bermuda Bay, Rose Red, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede and Whisper White. She used the I Heart Lists and Favorite Things stamps, and the Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper. She also used the Texture Jumbo Wheel, several sizes of circle punches, the Modern Lable punch and the Sizzix Flower-Daisies #2 Die (doesn't the flower look almost real?). The brads are just the icing on the cake! Stunning!

Card #2- Made by another long-time stamping pal, Linda Pagel. Linda and I have been in several swap groups together through the years. She's so talented that Stampin' Up! asked her to show us some things at regionals. Wow! We were all totally impressed with the sliding cards she demonstrated. Real Red, Close to Cocoa, Soft Suede and Whisper White are the colors used in the card shown. Linda used the Sparkly & Bright and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets. She also used the new Christmas Cocoa Designer Series Paper, Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, the Word Window and Wide Oval punches to make this adorable card!

Card #3- I THINK this card was made by one of my downline, Dawn Buck (I say I think, because she didn't put her name on it and it's a shame because it's adorable!!!) She used Rose Red, Pretty in Pink and White for her colors. The card was made with the Sizzix Clear Circle die, the Scallop Circle Die and the Birds & Blooms Die set. She also used the Print Patterns Designer Papers in Real Rose. So cute, I love it! Edited to add: Dawn emailed me this morning to thank me, but says this is NOT her card. So I told her she's forgiven for not putting her name on this card that wasn't hers ;) I do have her card in my stack to post though so you'll all get to see it later this week!

The question for today:
Where do you find inspiration for your papercrafting? Is there a certain magazine, or book, blog, etc. What really gets your wheels turning?

I find my most inspiration from people and the things they come up with and also when they show new product and make it fun. Magazines use to inspire me but I find them boring now. I really need to get back into this. Especially with school and holidays coming up.

I get a lot of my inspiration from you, Terri, and the rest of the group, like Mindy and Jen. I also go looking on the internet when I have a specific idea in mind. I love the emails from splitcoast with the idea shown. I still get one magazine, but I don't tend to have time to look at it.
I would say my number one source of inspiration is friends.

My inspiration for cards comes from blogs of other crafters and magazines. A friend gave me a Card Making book by Company's Coming Crafts that got me started thinking of new card designs.

I love to visit the blogs of Tim Holtz, Jennifer McGuire and a few others. I also find inspiration on the Two Peas message board (loved their Thinking Inking class series over the summer!) I love to look at magazines, but rarely take ideas from them. I've found a few mini album books that had some awesome ideas in them!

I get my inspiration from a variety of places. I come up with good ideas on my own, from on line challenges, from Creating keepsakes, idea books and web sites.

I get inspiration from my kids because these days I don't have time to create cards if they are not invitations. So the kids tell me what kind of birthday party they want, and I make the invites.

I love magazines and most recently blogs. I also like Splitcoast Stampers for new techniques. One of my favorite blogs besides yours is: http://dannisdoodles.typepad.com/dannisdoodles/
