Saturday was what I call a good mail day. Let me explain... for me there are TWO types of good mail days. One is the kind where you get something fun in the mail. A card, my Stampin' Success Magazine that Stampin' Up! sends to their Demonstrators. A fun new catalog etc. The OTHER is one that I can totally control myself. It's a day that I set aside to make and send cards out to my customers and / or team members. Since I have total control over this, I can put it into my schedule anytime I'm feeling the need to just get the stamps and inks out and CREATE! That makes me so Happy :)
Saturday was one of the latter types of good mail days. I had so much fun and was able to work on a couple of different cards to send out to my customers that placed orders, came to class or attended my retirement sale in June. I appreciate you all!
Here's a picture while everything was in progress. I like to work production style when I'm making lots of anything. On this card, I stamped all of the Mint Macaron flowers first, then the Dapper Denim, then the Watermelon Wonder, etc., etc. (on a side note: my friend Mindy refers to Dapper Denim as Dapper Dan. It's so funny! I've even found myself calling it that on accident now. Thanks Mindy! LOL!) So, anyways... I've got everything stamped already at this point and I'm using my favorite adhesive, Fast Fuse, to assemble. Note the coffee? It takes lots of energy to make a stack of cards like I did. That coffee was a must have!
Here's the finished card. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. Does the color combination look familiar? I pulled these colors; Bermuda Bay, Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron, Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder straight from the color swatch picture on the bottom of the front of our Brand New Stampin' Up! Catalog. Don't they look amazing together?! I love using the catalog for inspiration for my projects, it just makes everything simpler. Even if I don't use the same stamps, I can copy a layout or color scheme and come up with great looking projects so easily.
