A New Year

I know, I know. The last time I posted I told you I'd be back with gift ideas. But then I got sick, really sick with Bronchitis. And, I still think I may have to go back to the doctor for a different prescription for antibiotics. But, it's been more than two weeks and I'm starting to get some energy back, so here I am. (Those of you who know me in person know that I really talk like this. It's annoying, isn't it?!)

Did you set goals for the new year? One of mine was to create something everyday and to post it on my blog. Will I succeed? Probably not (how's that for honesty / self sabotage?). But, I know I'll do better if I write it down that if I just ignore it and hope that it happens.

What I've been working on today is not something that's ready for a picture yet, so I'm going to post a picture of a gift that I made for my nephew Jake instead. This was meant to be a Christmas gift, but we've had to postpone our family Christmas so many times that he doesn't have it yet. It's his birthday today, so I thought it appropriate that I post a picture for you. His mom, my little sister Mary, is probably going to read this at some point, so, Mary- if you show this to him before he actually gets it you're going to be in BIG trouble. Big, big trouble!

I used a 5x7 frame, Classic John Deere paper from Creative Imaginations, Solid Cardstocks from Stampin' Up!, Cricut Expression and the Doodletype Cartridge (love this one, it's my favorite font cartridge!), and antique brads from Making Memories. I think he'll like it, but just in case, I've got a Target giftcard for him too. You can't be too careful with teens :)
Happy New Year!!!
See you tomorrow!
