Pretty in Pink

One thing I love to do in the winter is crochet or knit. It keeps me nice and cozy while I'm watching TV with the family. I'm way better at crocheting, I've been doing it off and on since I was five (and for those of you wondering... Yes, that means I've been doing it for about 15 years, LOL!).

This is the second baby blanket I've crocheted this winter. And it's the second one done with this quick pattern that I found on the internet. I just finished it a little while ago. I love how the pattern says that it works up quickly in about 3 hours. I'm pretty good at it, but there is no way in heck I could finish it in three hours. It takes longer than that for me to pick out the yarn! I did make it about 6 inches taller and wider than the pattern says. I'd say it took me about 15 hours to finish (after the yarn was chosen!). Here's a link to the pattern, you'll have to let me know if you try it and how long it takes you to make.

I have a couple other friends that are pregnant right now, so I'll probably be working on some more blankets down the road. And, if you're one of those girls (Jennifer & Leslie, hint, hint) and you don't like blue or pink, you'd better let me know now! :)
See you tomorrow!

Love the blanket!

Glad to see you have returned to the land of the living. I will need to update my blog...probably Monday when things return to normal. Normal? Well, that may be never!

Hope you had wonderful holiday celebrations despite the illness!
Happy New Year!

I'm glad you're feeling better - it's awful to be sick, but especially over the holidays. I'm afraid I won't be able to report on how long it takes me to crochet a blanket like yours... I started knitting a baby blanket for Ben when I was pregnant with him. He's now twelve and the blanket is about 5 inches long and still on the knitting needles!
