Witch's Hats from Target Dollar Spot

These are the Witch's Hats I decorated over the weekend. I found the original hats at the Target Dollar Spot here in town (2.50 each), and as soon as I saw them, I KNEW that I wanted to take them home and put paper flowers, buttons, etc. on them. The flowers are all from the Fun Flowers BigShot Die. They are all double layers (one flower on top of the other), embossing with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder and then spritzed with Champagne Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol mixture. The buttons and papers are all Stampin' Up! I used Crystal Effects to glue the flowers down. The Pink and Black hats had a sort of veil attached around the brim, I cut it off with scissors and then tied that into a bow to re-attach to the hats. Originally I tried CE to glue those on, but had to go back with a hot glue gun the next day because the bows wouldn't stay attached.  I shared these at my downline meeting on Sunday, and all of the attendees' names were entered into a drawing for the Black and Pastel hat. Dawn Miner won, and her picture is shown with her hat.  Hope this inspires you to think outside the box a little bit. I ALWAYS check out the Dollar Spot, you never know what goodies lurk there! Have a great day!
