Live with Zest Shaker Card

I just have a quick post for you today. This is a swap card that I did for a recent Demonstrator swap. One of the things I love about being a Demonstrator with Stampin' Up! is that everyone is so happy to share really awesome ideas. We swap pretty much every time a new catalog comes out, AND we definitely swap every time we go to a Demonstrator Event. It's so much fun!

A couple of things to note about this card:

  • The lime image is only stamped once. Get two different colors at the same by inking with the Lemon-Lime Twist and then rolling the stamp carefully around the Bermuda Bay ink pad. Huff on the stamp to moisten ink and then stamp.
  • The 'shaker' part of this card is created with a cello bag, cut down and wrapped around all 4 sides of the stamped image. Add the Iridescent Sequins before sealing the 4th edge. Pay no attention to the colors listed in the catalog with the sequins. Be bold... These beauties match most of our Bright and Subtle colors as well as quite a few of our In-Colors!
  • Notice how the embossing isn't raised up, but debossed instead?? I actually glued the raised side down to give the look of the embossing without all of the dimension.

I'll be back with another fun Shaker Card tomorrow. Did someone say Christmas in July?
