Hi Stampers! Hope you're staying dry and cool today. It's very swampy here in Central Ohio! Good thing it's always Sunny and the perfect temperature here in the Studio :)
Today, I promised you a little bit of Christmas in July AND another Shaker Card and that's just what I have! This is another one of my most recent swap cards. Sorry for the glare, but that's what happens when you cover something in cellophane and then try to take a picture of it, LOL!
Things to note:
- For this one, the shaker cover is made with one of Stampin' Up!'s clear envelopes. It was super easy. the mat is cut to be 3-1/4 x 4-3/8" and then slid sideways into the envelope. Then the flap side was cut short and glued down once the sequins were inside.
- The sequins (Metallics) see below, are not what I would typically use for Christmas Cards, but they look gorgeous in this card. I really love the pink-ish iridescent ones, they're great for beach-y cards too!
- I added a little bit of embossing with the Holly embossing folder. I like to cut a front piece, in the same color as the card base, (4 x 5-1/2") and emboss that. I, personally, don't like to see the embossing on the inside of my cards. I think they look very finished this way.
Here's your supply list. Don't forget to use Hostess Code 4JVV7PWW to receive goodies when your online order is $30 or more and make sure to put in your email address if your order is $50 or more so that you get one of those fabulous $5 coupons from Stampin' Up!
