New Blog Header

Well, it's a start. I made my new blog header using Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 (I'm definitely going to have to work on it, I can't figure out why it's 'leaning' to the right!). The digital elements (paper, flower, button) are from a kit called Hawaiian Happy Hour by the Design Team @ Scrapmatters.com. The picture is of a digital card made using the same kit, along with a card template from my friend, the Geeky Diva. The templates are in a kit called Diamond Life Templates and it's also available at Scrapmatters.com. When you get there, you can see some of my other projects using this kit...

June Cards - Stampin' Up! Class

June Cards Class (Stampin' Up!)

Evening Class: Wednesday, June 24th Time 7:00-9:00pm

*OR* Daytime Class: Thursday, June 25th Time 10:00-Noon

Cost: $18.00

Join us as we say a fond farewell to some of my favorite Stampin' Up! products / colors! You'll make a total of 12 cards in class (that's 3 each of 4 different designs) including: Wedding (or Thank You), Masculine, Birthday and Hello/Friend. We'll use the Sizzix Big Shot, Glitter, Layered Punches, new techniques and Fancy Folds to create these fun cards. Envelopes are included for those that like to stamp 'em to match! Everything will be pre-cut for you and ready to stamp, embellish and assemble. Please bring your favorite adhesives! RSVP early, class size is limited.

Bordering Summer Card Class

Date: Thursday, June 25th (Hilliard Cord Camera 614-876-1122)

Time: 6:00-7:30pm

Cost of Class: $25

Join us as we create cards using five different Fiskars Border Punches. We’ll make two each of 5 different designs, for a total of 10 cards! All cards will have summer colors and themes including Happy B-Day, Thanks, Wish You Were Here, Happy Summer and One in a Melon. Additional products will include Bo Bunny Press, May Arts, Cuttlebug, Cricut, Ellison, Prima, Stickles, Imaginisce and Sandylion. Everything will be pre-cut and ready to embellish and assemble. Envelopes for cards are included. Call the corresponding store to register, pre-pay for class.

Summer Vacation/Beach Display Album

Date: Sunday, July 19th, Clintonville Cord Camera (614-262-0100)

Time: 12:30-3:00pm

Cost of Class: $25

Join us as we create this unique beach-themed mini album from scratch. First, we’ll use the Scor-Pal & Bind-it-all to make the album. Then we’ll add some beautiful papers and 3-D embellishments from Bo Bunny, K&Co and May-Arts to finish. You’ll have 12 spaces inside the album to add wallet sized pictures or journaling after class. The unique design of the album allows it to either tie closed (although a bit bulky) or fan out to display in a star design. This album is perfect for showing off your favorite summer vacation photos! In addition to your basic supply/tool kit, please bring the following: Scor-Pal (optional), bone folder, 12” paper trimmer, a glue stick, and your favorite all around adhesive. Please note, because this album will be made from start to finish, class kits are not available. Register early... a limited number of spaces are available for this class! (The picture does NOT do this justice, stop in to the Clintonville store after Friday this week to check it out in person. It's ADORABLE! - Everyone says so :))

Scrapbook / Rubber Stamp Sale

I can't remember how many years we've held our Scrapbook / Rubber Stamp but I know it's at least 5! We were doing it long before any of the local scrapbook stores. I guess that makes us trend setters, eh? LOL! Every year I'm amazed at how much STUFF I've collected. Put mine together with approximately 15-20 other women and you've got the coolest sale around! You can find stuff from all kinds of scrapbooking and rubber stamping companies (although a lot of us are Stampin' Up! Demonstrators). They range from Brand New to well-loved, and everything in between. Some people come to get retired rubber stamps and some come for the .25, .50, and $1.00 bins, but rarely does anyone leave empty handed! We even sell off great samples from swaps and classes. And, you'll definitely recognize the die-hards, they bring their own bags to shop with!

This year we will only be accepting cash, so come prepared! (credit card fees went through the roof this year and Mindy and I both stopped accepting them as a result)

We've got two sales scheduled so far this year (and, yes, things will be different at each, so you'll want to check them both out!). We hope to see you there!
