2016 Christmas Card Workshops

Hello! I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. The Christmas Card Workshops are here!!!!  I've narrowed down my choices and I think you'll find that this years' Christmas Cards are better than ever. I hope you love them as much as I do!

This is how my Christmas Card Workshops work:

Choose your Christmas Cards from the pictures below. All cards are made in sets of 10 and the cost per set is listed below the card picture. You may choose as many sets as you'd like, but no fewer than two. If you choose lots of cards, you may need to come to (or schedule) more than one session. That's OK, this is not meant to be stressful!  The costs per set vary based on the materials used. Each kit includes everything you'll need to complete 10 cards and envelopes EXCEPT your basic adhesive. You'll definitely want to bring extra adhesive refills with you to class along with your basic tool kit! (Or pre-purchase in advance to have extras waiting for you at your chosen workshop!) White inserts are included for the insides of all cards except those that are white already.

You'll want to RSVP as soon as you can, along with appropriate payment so that I can get the product ordered and prepared for you. If you're sending a check, please email me also with your choices so I can plan orders accordingly. This is a lot of work for me, and while I'm not complaining (I'm one of those odd people that loves putting together class kits!), it does take a lot of time and I'm still healing from surgery so I need to be able to pace myself. That said, I really appreciate those of you that sign up as soon as possible :)

Class size is strictly limited to 6 unless you're coming with a friend and you're both ok sharing a table with each other.  Please let me know this in advance. Prepaying your class early also ensures that you get first choice at the dates that work best for you. Our first workshop is just 2 weeks away, so check your schedules and get back to me right away.

Scheduled Dates:
Wednesday Evening, November 16th from 6pm to 9pm
Thursday Morning, November 17th from 10am to 1pm
Friday Afternoon, November 25th from 1pm to 4pm
Sunday Afternoon, November 27th from 1pm to 4pm

I will schedule more dates if/as needed. Please let me know if none of these work for you and we can talk about scheduling one that works better. I'd be happy to work with you!

And now, for the cards!!!! (Don't forget, you can click on a picture to make it larger. this will allow you to read any words and see details that might be missed on the smaller images)

Glad Tidings
Card #1- Whisper White - $12/10
Card #2- Crumb Cake - $12 / 10
Card #3 - Real Red - $12 / 10

Your washi tape may vary from that shown but don't worry, I'll have more than one matching choice for you to use! This one says Glad Tidings, but you'll be able to choose from a couple other sayings instead, including a Merry Christmas, if you'd like.

The Warmth & Cheer card showcases Stampin' Up!'s newest 3D embossing folder and includes a variety of  stitch printed papers, silky smooth Taffeta ribbon (yes, your bows will be tied for you ahead of time), dimension and a shimmery heart! MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR HOME TO YOURS is an alternate saying that can be used to complete your card.

Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Choose Reindeer with a sparkly nose or Gingerbread Men with a sparkly bow tie (or a combination of Both!). You'll receive an assortment of beautiful patterned papers to complete your cards (you see just two examples above). A hint of dry embossing is added right over top of the words. These cards are quick and easy and so cute!

You Put the Merry
Card # 6- $13 / 10

Merry Everything
Card #7- $14 / 10
This card has everything going for it! Glitter and rhinestones and texture... Wow, It's just stunning! Patterned papers and baker's twine in each set will be varied, giving you an assortment of similar but 'not quite the same cards'. Joy to the World Angel
Card #8- $14 / 10
Card 8- Wings are sparkly. Sorry it's hard to see in this photo :(

This serene Angel card, with her message of Joy to the World, is for those of you that LOVE cutting out intricate images, such as paperdolls. C'mon, you know who you are :) Her wings and shoes are sparkly and she's watercolored with the palest of hues. This card is perfect for the advanced beginner, OR for those that don't get flustered with lots of details.  The angel is cut out completely, and then the banner is cut out in 3 separate parts and pieced over the image. She's definitely worth the effort when complete.

Joy
Card # 9 - $15 / 10

Did someone say sparkle? This card has it! From the 'frosted' pines to the glittery Santa Hat, sparkle is the game here! You'll also learn a quick way to adhere your words! And, last, but not least, a cute little jingle bell (in an assortment of red and silver) tops it off! Simple, but very eye-catching!

Peace & Joy
Pink Card #10- $15 / 10
Red Card (not shown) #11- $15 / 10

This fun and funky, retro card is so fun to make! I'll show you the quick way to adhere your words. You'll use lots of Silver Foil paper to jazz it up. Red card is exactly the same, except (yep, you guessed it) the card base, '& JOY', and small dots on the tree are Real Red. I've misplaced mine, but will try to post a picture once I find it.

LIMITED EDITION- Nativity Joy
Cherry Cobbler Card #12- $16 / 10
Mint Macaron Card #13- $16 / 10

An elegant option that celebrates the true meaning of Christmas. This card is available in two beautiful colors. The Star of Bethlemen is shimmery. The large ribbon adds such an elegant touch.  Alternative to the saying on the bottom: THE LORD IS COME!
Note: I am limited to 4 sets of the Cherry Cobbler sets and just 12 of the Mint Macaron sets. Prepaid orders get first dibs on these!

Joy to the World
Card #14 - $16 / 10

I can't help but smile when I look at this card. It reminds me of my Grandma Leedom's aluminum Christmas Tree. She loved bright, shiny things and I think this card would qualify! It features pink, glittery ribbon, wink of stella and sequins on top of shimmery white cardstock. This is one of those cards that many of you have oohed and aahed over at the studio. I think you can just see the amount of shimmer in the detailed photo directly above. It's definitely one of my favorites! It'll be my pleasure to tie your bows before class :) Alternative sayings: Making Spirits Bright or Be Joyful.

=========================================================
Paisley Holly Jolly Christmas
Card #15- $16 / 10

Wow! I definitely saved the wildest, most paisley card for last. Bright Red and Green Paisleys adorn this fun card. The look is completed with colored rhinestones, layered circles and scallops and some thick, gorgeous, stitched ribbon. Your bows will be tied for you prior to class.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Monday!

Hello Ladies- Thank you for being so patient with me while I work through this surgery stuff. There are lots of things that I wasn't really expecting or prepared for BUT I have felt a lot better than I even imagined at most steps along the way. It definitely hasn't been a picnic, but not nearly as bad as I anticipated.

Thank God I decided to do it now, because even though this was done prophyllactically, they found two types of cancer cells in one of my breasts. It wasn't enough for a diagnosis/treatment at this point, but... My surgeon said I would have probably been looking at a re-diagnosis soon if I hadn't chosen to have surgery now. What a blessing!

I'm still sore, but the main problem now is that I'm itching to get back to business as usual and my body can't keep up. I need a lot more rest and I can't work for more than a few hours at a time. Yesterday I went over for almost 5 hours (I know, but I was in a groove and getting lots of stuff done). I was wiped out when I got home and then I slept for almost 14 hours last night. I need to learn to moderate things a little more. Definitely :)

But, enough of that!

I have a few things I want to share with you today.

Easel and Tiny Pumpkin not included, sorry!
First, I have a very special, Limited Edition Halloween Frame kit to offer you. It includes everything you need, including the cute little divided frame, aprox. 7x7", to complete the project in approximately 1/2 hour!! You'll only need dimensionals, adhesive, and scissors to complete. This frame is only available FREE to the first THREE people to place a $50 minimum catalog order this week. In addition, I have one completed frame for the first person to place a catalog order is $75 or more,  I would estimate the value of the kit/frame at $15 to $20. These are in the Studio, ready to go and can be picked up at any time. Note: I'll update the blog AS SOON AS these are all claimed. This cannot be combined with any other offer.

Second: Stampin' Up! has a very special deal going on right now.

The following papers are included. You can click on any of them to be taken directly to my online store! There are even TWO of the Holiday Mini Catalog papers included... You know how much I love my DSP, this just makes me happy!

Third: I am offering a card buffet class this month! I've got two wonderful friends / downline that have graciously offered to host the class for me! You can either pay for the class AT CLASS ($20), or place a minimum $25 catalog order beforehand to get the class for FREE. The sooner you place your order, the better chance you have of it shipping and being ready for you to pick up at class. Darlene and Susan will be overseeing the class, but they won't be accepting any orders. Please email your orders to me at terri.meehan@att.net (don't forget the dot between terri and meehan). Thanks!

Card Buffet Class
Wednesday evening, October 19th from 7 to approx. 9pm - Hostess is Darlene Cope
*OR*
Thursday morning, October 20th from 10am to approx. Noon - Hostess is Susan Tinapple
Cost: $20 OR FREE with $25 minimum catalog order prior to class

I really can't thank Darlene and Susan enough. This is everyone's favorite class and I'm so excited to be able to offer it this month in spite of everything that's going on. There will be a strict limit of 8 people at class this month so as not to overwhelm our hosts. You will complete a total of 8 cards, up to 4 different designs in class. These cards will be of your choice from 12+ different options! This month we have some fun Fall and Halloween options. Envelopes are included. Everything is cut and ready for you to stamp, embellish and assemble. Please bring scissors and your favorite adhesives with you to class. RSVP to save your spot. Class is limited this month!

Note: One of the Halloween cards is a rolling penny card. If you choose to make this option you'll also need to bring 11 Dimensionals and TWO pennies per card. Thanks!

And, Last but not Least!!! I have some fun Tiny Halloween Treats in the Studio! These are great for co-workers, kids, teachers, neighbors, or anyone else in your life that you like to make smile! They'll be available at the Card Buffet OR stop in either of the next two Saturday mornings between 9am and Noon to shop.

That's all for now. Please let me know if you have any questions!
Have a great day!

 Terri :)
