Garden in Bloom Card

Today I thought I'd share the details for one of my July Cards Class cards. It's such a fun card and I really love cards with clean lines. That makes this one a winner for me!

Stamp Sets: Garden in Bloom, Gorgeous Grunge, Watercolor Thank You,
Inks: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Watermelon Wonder plus Memento Tuxedo Black
Other: Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Brick Wall
(See below for picture links to all products mentioned)

I stamped things in this order: Large Flowers, Thank You, Small Flowers, Large Leaves, Small Leaves and then the splatters last. After this, the entire front panel (4 x 5-1/4" Whisper White CS) was embossed with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder and then glue to a card base of the new Thick Whisper White Card Stock.

Can I tell you what I love about these products?
1. The Garden in Bloom Stamp Set is a-ma-zing! It's a photopolymer set that makes two-step (and three-step on some of the images) stamping a breeze! I love how fun and whimsical the images are. And, there's even a matching package of Designer Series Paper, called English Garden, that's just beautiful.

2. The new Thick Whisper White Cardstock. It's 100lb cardstock (vs 80 lbs on our normal Whisper White CS). It has the same great coating that makes stamping crisp, beautiful images almost foolproof, but the new thickness adds such a nice weight to your cards. I'm in Love with it!

3. The Brick Wall embossing folder is super addictive to use. Go ahead and search Pinterest for it, you'll see some really gorgeous ideas! I love that the folder itself is 6x6. I wasn't really sure, at first, why I would need it to be 6x6... I mean, I don't really do that many 6x6 things to be honest. But then, a light bulb moment hit and I realized that, with this folder, I'm no longer limited to the horizontal or vertical orientation of the folder. I can turn my cardstock whichever way I want because it fits both ways! How cool is that?

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I did. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Have a great day!

Focus on Butterfly Cards Class

Butterfly Cards Class
to Benefit Randy Mayhew Jr's Butterfly Fund

This was part of my post from yesterday, but I wanted a post that was all about it. Up front and center so that it can get the attention it needs.

I also wanted to address a couple of things that weren't mentioned:

1. There is a limited amount of space in each class. This is so beginners will be able to get the help they need to complete their cards. I'll schedule more classes if I need to though, because I want everyone to be able to take the class that wants to.

2. If you have a group of 8 to 12 people that would like to take this class together: Please contact me and we'll set up a private time just for you! This would be great for a group of Scouts, Co-workers, Family members, etc. I have some dates available in July, or we can even do it in August.

3. Class will be held at the Scrappy Mee Studio, 3974 Brown Park Dr, Suite D, Hilliard, OH 43026.

Children with this disorder are often called Butterfly Children due to the fragility of their skin. I'm attaching links to a couple of recent write-ups in case you'd like to read more about him. 100% of the net proceeds from class, along with my commissions from any orders placed at class, will go to help the family with funeral and medical bills via Randy's Butterfly Fund. In this class, you'll make 2 each of the 4 cards shown for a total of 8 cards. Envelopes are included. Please RSVP, along with prepayment. Bring your tool kit (see below) with you to class. Happy 4th of July! Classes are HERE!!!

Whew! You found me! I'm so relieved :) Over the next week or so, I'll be combining everything  as much as possible so that it falls under the Scrappy Mee Studio name. So, you'll be seeing more updates as we go along. In the long run it should make things much easier for you to find me!

I hope you're all enjoying this beautiful day. The 4th of July has always been a favorite holiday of mine. I love the parades and noise. Cookouts complete with a fresh pitcher of lemonade. It just makes me feel so blessed to live in the USA!

Speaking of blessed. The Stampin' Up! sales year ended on June 30th. I woke up on the 1st to the good news that I earned several awards/rewards and a promotion overnight! I'm so happy to report that I earned the Mediterranean Cruise. I'll tell you more about it later but my husband and I both get to go and we are beyond excited!!! I also promoted to Senior Executive thanks to the hard work of my wonderful downline this year. I earned a bonus for promotions in my first level and also a sales award. It was all very, very exciting and humbling. I feel so grateful to every one of you that has helped. Without you, this would be just another job. Thank you for making it so much more!!!

Okay- July Classes updates:

I'm keeping the class schedules basic for now. I've been fighting off and on with a migraine for several days now and can't spend too much time on the computer. I hope to embellish on some of this info later on.
