May Card Buffet and the last 7 weeks... (LONG!)

Hi Stampers- May is here and I'm home for awhile now so I wanted to let you know about May's Card Buffet. I'll post a bit about my recent antics and travels below the class information for anyone that cares to read about it!

This month I'll be focusing on stamp sets that will be retiring on June 3rd. There are lots of my personal favorites in the bunch. I can't wait to share some new ideas with you!

May Card Buffet
Thursday evening, May 16th, 6:30 pm to approx. 9pm
*OR* Friday morning, May 17th, 10am to approx. Noon
Cost: $25 (or FREE with a $30 catalog mdse purchase at class)

Please join us as we give some really wonderful sets a fond farewell (from the catalog). You'll create a total of 8 cards (in qty sets of 2, please) in class. Everything will be cut and prepped for you, ready for you to stamp, embellish and assemble. I strive to make this a stress-free class for everyone! :) Envelopes are included, adhesives are not... So, please bring your favorite tools and adhesives, including Dimensionals and Scissors to class with you. RSVP to save your space in class.

Remember: I have Snail and Liquid Adhesives and Dimensionals here at a really great cash and carry price if you need to purchase it for class. Thanks!

And now, for those of you who've been asking about my travels. I've been home for about 10 days since the middle of March....

I started out at a Stitch Retreat with 614 Knit Studio on March 15th, 16th and 17th. It was a working weekend for me, but you know I love knitting and crocheting so it was so much fun!

Sunday morning I got a text from my brother, telling me that his health was declining fast and that his nurse thought we should come out to see him 'soon'. So, I booked a flight to Mesa, AZ for the next day, Monday the 18th and planned to stay out there with him as long as I could. He passed away the next Sunday night. My baby brother :(  I stayed out there for another week, taking care of arrangements and dealing with 'stuff'. His friend, Heidi, and I decided to take a day trip for ourselves mid-week and so we went up to Sedona, AZ to see the Red Rocks. It was absolutely breathtaking!

So, back home on April 2nd, and then a scrapbooking retreat that weekend. It was at the Inspiration Inn Bloom up in Oak Harbor, Ohio. Thank goodness for that retreat, because I needed swaps for the next weekend and everyone was so nice. I only thought I knew two people going, but it turned out that I ran into an old friend and made several new ones too. :)

April 11th through the 14th, I was in Atlantic City for one of Stampin' Up!'s OnStage (think mini-convention) Events with 5 of my downline. It was a lot of fun being with so many creative stampers. I could honestly take or leave Atlantic City. It was kind of dirty and very smoky. Ugh! But, we got a copy of the 2019/2020 Catalog and I can tell you, It's A-MA-ZING! I don't know how they do it each year but I think this is one of the best catalogs they've ever, ever had!

April 18th was my 54th Birthday. Seriously, 54?! Does anyone else feel like this is all just a joke and they're still 20? LOL! It was a pretty low-key birthday, but my family all came over for dinner and we just relaxed and enjoyed time with the grandkids.

April 19th, 4a.m., my daughter, and her 4 kids (4, 3 and the 8mo. old twins) set out for San Diego. We drove! The kids were really good. My daughter is a total Trooper! We made it to Oklahoma City the first night, Mesa, AZ the second night. We stayed at my brother's house Easter Day and then Monday we finished the trip to San Diego only to find out that there had been a mix-up (Military) and they wouldn't have an apartment until Thursday. So, another night in a hotel and then they luckily got into an apartment on Tuesday afternoon right after they dropped me off at the airport to head back to Mesa. On our trip I saw some of the most amazing things for the first time. The Sand Dunes in the Sonoran Desert, the (incredibly) Rocky Mountains. Elk, Moose Deer, the bay of San Diego to name a few. We even went through Border Patrol, twice!

April 23rd to April 30th. Mesa, AZ. This was the trip I originally planned to spend time with my brother, but since he was gone, I went ahead and stayed at his house to clean up some loose ends for my brother-in-law (his Estate Administrator). While I was there I decided to take a Train trip to see the Grand Canyon with his friend, Heidi. It was sort of a birthday gift to ourselves since her birthday was the day after mine. Wow! Arizona truly has some of the most amazing landscapes.

And then, April 30th, I was home again! My amazing Husband picked me up at the airport after work. Have I told you that he NEVER picks me up outside? No cell phone lot for him. I can always count on him being at the bottom of the escalator by the Baggage Claim area. He even stands in the same spot so I see him as soon as the escalator gets low enough. Now, if that isn't LOVE, I don't know what is?! I had cards and packages waiting for me. It's like my birthday was extended for weeks! Wow!

I'm so happy to be home, and, if you've read to the bottom of this you are a champ! Can't wait to stamp with you again soon.

Have a great day!
Terri :)
